Home to more than 300 clubs and some of the biggest student events on campus, the MSU had outgrown the patchwork of four to five separate tools it was using to keep everything running. Managing that many clubs meant manual processes, scattered data, and administrative complexity that made day-to-day operations harder than they needed to be, and made large-scale, high-volume events a real challenge to deliver.
With Rubric, the MSU is bringing club management, event approvals, ticketing, communication, and reporting together on one platform. That means streamlined approval workflows, a single centralised system for over 300 clubs, ticketing built to handle their largest events, and transparent data and custom reporting that give the team clear visibility across everything they run. The goal is less administrative overhead for staff and a simpler, more intuitive experience for students.
We’re proud to support the MSU team as they reduce complexity, empower their student leaders, and continue delivering an exceptional experience for McMaster undergraduates through one connected platform.
About the MSU
The McMaster Students Union is the largest group on campus, representing approximately 27,000 undergraduate students at McMaster University. Every student enrolled in 18 units or more is a member. The MSU serves students across two main areas – political representation and the enhancement of student life – operating more than two dozen services and standing as the front line of student advocacy at the university, municipal, provincial, and federal levels of government.
We’re thrilled to announce our new partnership with the McMaster Students Union!
